Hayward salt chlorinator error code

Hayward salt chlorinator code Inspect Cell: Inspect cell

Hayward AquaRite salt chlorinators

What Inspect Cell means

Flashing: cell efficiency is reduced, or a scheduled inspection (about every 500 hours) is due. Steady: efficiency is greatly reduced and it stopped making chlorine.

Likely causes

  • Scale on the cell plates
  • Worn cell

Safe first checks

  1. Turn off power to the chlorinator, remove the cell, and check for scale. Try a high-pressure hose first.
  2. After inspecting or cleaning, hold the diagnostic button for 3 seconds to reset.

When to stop

If Inspect Cell stays on after a good cleaning with correct salt, Hayward says the cell may be worn out.

Parts that may help

Only order a part once the checks above point to it, and match the part number to your model.
